Prestigio Partners with McAfee to Deliver a World-Class Security Solution to Consumers

Prestigio, an international manufacturer of mobile devices, consumer electronics and accessories known in 85 countries, and McAfee, part of Intel Security today announced that Prestigio smartphones and tablets will soon be available with a pre-installed trial version of the McAfee® LiveSafe solution.

Device users will benefit from the award-winning security solution that will protect their digital life on the move. McAfee LiveSafe will be available on millions of devices in Russia and other CIS countries over the next two years. The app will be preinstalled as a 30-day trial with the option to continue the subscription at the end of the trial period.

According to McAfee’s Consumer Mobile Security Report, 80% of mobile apps today collect location information about users, 82% know the device ID, 57% track when people use their phones and the threat of mobile malware is increasing every day.

The McAfee® LiveSafe solution provides complete, multi-device security for PCs, Macs, smartphones and tablets against the latest viruses, malware and spam along with a host of other protections with one licence. The service provides consumers with a simple Web-based dashboard to centrally manage security on all of their devices. To increase the level of consumer security, it also includes a cloud-based “safety deposit box”, called “McAfee Personal Locker,” that uses facial and voice recognition to authenticate a users’ identity so that they can securely store sensitive, personal information such as financial records, drivers licences and passports. It also enables consumers to easily and securely manage their passwords and automatically log into all their online accounts from any of their devices.
